Facilitators
Geetu Bharwaney
is the Behavioural Coaching Institute's Senior Partner in the UK and Europe and conducts Certified Master Coach Courses and in-house coach development programmes. She is also an executive coach who mainly works with high achievers in a variety of contexts. She holds a masters degree in Psychology & Health with Distinction at City University. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and is recognized as one of Europe's foremost thought leaders in the application of emotional intelligence assessment instruments and tools in business and executive coaching interventions. She has personally conducted over 4000 assessments in a variety of organisations. Her main interest lies in organisational development through leadership skills development. She has coached and taught extensively across Europe and further afield. Her work has been featured on Radio 4, CNN and Canadian Television. She has authored and published 'Emotionally Intelligent Living' and several journal articles. She is respected for her ability to work at the cutting edge of training and leadership interventions and won a National Training Award for her outstanding work. Geetu's focus of recent years is helping guide organisations take a holistic approach in people development by understanding the 'inner' leader.
Hendre Coetzee
is the Institute's Senior Partner in America and conducts our Los Angeles and New York Certified Master Coach Courses. He holds two Bachelors degrees in Ancient Studies and Leadership Philosophy and an Honours Degree. Hendre is a certified transformational trainer and facilitator in conducting Negotiation Labs and CultureROI workshops. He - has developed cross-cultural coaching programmes focusing on leadership and the post-modern generation in 25 countries. Hendre has coached and taught extensively across Europe including coaching executives in VP and director level position in Fortune 100 companies for the past several years. He was Formerly Director of Coaches Development for a leading international organisational consulting group. He is also a board member for Global Life Works responsible for their life-skills training project focused on people living with HIV/AIDS. Hendre's focus of recent years is helping teach "coaches" around the world how to "Raise up and release leaders."
Faculty Team Leader
Dr Geoffrey Abbott
is an experienced international coach, executive and academic who specializes in the area of cross-cultural management and coaching. Geoff’s doctoral thesis is on executive coaching and cross-cultural coaching. He works in Europe, the US, Australia and Central America with a wide range of corporations, government agencies and universities. Dr Abbott has written extensively on coaching, including contributing to the text books; 'Evidence Based Coaching Handbook' and 'Excellence in Coaching: The Industry Guide'. He is currently editing 'The Routledge Companion to International Business Coaching'. Geoff has taught at a number of colleges and universities and is recognized worldwide as a pioneer in the rapidly-expanding field of international business coaching.
Geoff is also a seasoned course facilitator and a master in the use of Dr Skiffington's Models and methods. His research interests are in organisational psychology and cross-cultural management and he is a recognised authority on global coaching from a cultural perspective. His expertise lies particularly with executives and executive teams who work in international or multicultural contexts. Geoff was awarded the 2002 Psychological Society Prize for his study on ways in which values affect employees' commitment to their organisations.
